In a previous home, the client had difficulty enjoying movies due to poor acoustics and underperforming speakers, resulting in muddied dialogue. The goal of the project was to craft a one-of-a-kind escape where all film, sports, and games could be seen and heard with utmost clarity, allowing the owner completely lose themselves in the experience.

To better separate sound in dramatic sequences, we utilized a high channel count Dolby Atmos audio system complete with four high output sub-woofers. Each piece is completely concealed behind acoustic stretch fabric, providing dynamic audio output without any visual distraction.

A 10' wide projection screen provides THX reference viewing angles for the main seating. Screen distance, eye level, and comfort have all been considered to make every seat the best in house.

Chris Kaclik Builders and Susan Stabnau Interiors were outstanding partners in turning this cinema into a reality. Long-time industry veteran Steve Colburn, formerly of Triad Loudspeakers, lent his expertise in the area of acoustic design, speaker selection, and layout. By fostering an open dialogue between all trades, the combined expertise and communication resulted in the ultimate private cinema that is truly more than the sum of its parts.
