A New Light

Smart should be simple.

At the heart of our process, we believe that “intelligent living” best represents what makes smart homes special. It’s about creating spaces that automatically take care of the details for those living in them. Lighting, shades, HVAC—when every component is perfectly coordinated, home life becomes graceful, effortless, and most of all, simple.

Rooms in the home today are multi-purpose. We come together as families to dine and share stories in the kitchen, but also to wrap up homework before bed. Family rooms are made for relaxing in front of the fire with a good book, but completely liven when entertaining friends and relatives. Just like multi-tasking in our daily lives, the rooms we use everyday do the same.

Intelligent living allows anyone to live effortlessly in their home by transforming rooms to suit the occupant and activity.

With our systems, the press of a button transforms living spaces. Lights dim with a warm tone, shades lower, music plays softly, and temperatures adjust to capture the perfect ambiance. The dinner table now feels like sitting down at your favorite restaurant. The magic behind the scenes is integrating all of these details into one single vision.

We start conversations about smart home with intelligent lighting. There is no better interface between people and home, and no greater potential for transformation, than with the tried and true wall switch. We believe smart home technology should blend seamlessly into the natural ways people interact with their home.

When we enter a room, it’s natural for us to turn on the light. However, when entering a room designed with Lex Home Tech, that gesture changes to “turn on the room.” At the end of the day, we can also turn off all the lights, televisions, music, lower shades, lock the doors, arm the security system, and set the temperature with the same ease as flicking a light switch.

If smart devices can’t communicate with each other, they can lead to a frustrating experience. Likewise, a phone with too many smart apps is overwhelming. The true smart home experience should simplify, not complicate.

Lex Home Tech believes home life should be simple, just like turning on a light.
